Data deletion

You can ask us to delete the personal data PlanReply holds about you at any time. We process every request within 7 days and confirm when it is done.

If you interacted with a creator through Instagram

If you commented, sent a message, replied to a story or mentioned an account that uses PlanReply, we may hold your Instagram‑scoped ID, username, comments, messages, follow status and, if you shared it, your email address. You can request deletion in either of two ways:

1. Instagram DM: send a direct message with the words DELETE MY DATA to the Instagram account that messaged you through PlanReply. The request is passed to us automatically.
2. Email: write to hello@planreply.com with the subject “Delete my data” and include your Instagram username (and the email address you shared, if any).

If you are a creator using PlanReply

1. Remove PlanReply from your Instagram account: in Instagram go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, select PlanReply and remove it. Meta notifies us and we delete your data.
2. Or email hello@planreply.com from the email address linked to your PlanReply account and ask us to delete your account and data.

What we delete

• Your profile ID, username and profile details stored by PlanReply;
• comments, messages and conversation state;
• follow status records;
• email addresses you shared in a conversation;
• for creators: access tokens, scheduled content, automations, analytics and collected contact lists.

We may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was completed (without the deleted content), and any data we are legally required to keep, such as invoices. Data already exported by a creator (for example a CSV of emails) or sent to their own email provider is under the creator’s control; we will tell you which creator to contact if needed.

Timing and confirmation

Requests are processed within 7 days. We confirm by email or Instagram DM, depending on how you contacted us. Backups containing your data are overwritten within 30 days.
